How You Can Look Fantastic In Autumnal Scenery

Much glamour photography takes place indoors, where the environment can be controlled, nobody who shouldn’t see you will get a glimpse and you can take the time you need.

That is always less so when shoots take place outside, as the variations of Britain’s changeable weather and the need to find spots with privacy can place some constraints on what you can do.

Nonetheless, there is the advantage of authenticity if you can be pictured half-submerged in a real sea on an actual beach, as long as this does not also involve a real jellyfish sting.

There are other places you may be pictured on a sunny summer’s day, but that does not mean you can only do an outdoor shoot in the warmer months.

Autumn in particular offers a few opportunities. True, you will have to pick your days carefully as there will be increasingly more cold and wet days, but there will be opportunities too.

Most obviously, you could enjoy some superb colour background in areas full of trees with rusty orange leaves ready to drop. This might be particularly striking if you have red hair.

The seasonal conditions are not the only aspect you could involve. Some might bring in themed occasions like Halloween (the red hair and a pumpkin are an obvious match) or Bonfire Night, where you might pose with a few well-placed bangers.

You may even make the most of the vivid sunsets that are a characteristic of autumn, for example by posing in a way that allows your figure to be silhouetted against the sight of the setting sun and the pink-orange clouds.

All these are visual advantages that all sorts of photographers will use in autumn to provide superb results. But glamour photographers can use them too. You just need to be ready for shorter periods posing for pictures as the weather is colder, ideally with a flask of warm tea close to hand.
