Bringing An Escort To Your Photoshoot?

Thinking about bringing an escort to your photoshoot? It is not a bad idea to bring a friend or family member to a shoot with a new photographer. Despite it being a good idea for safety, I would not recommend bringing an escort and not informing the photographer beforehand.

Some photographers will not allow you to hire them if you require an escort due to interference with workflow, bad experiences in the past, for example jealous boyfriends in attendance is more common that you would think… Jealous partners make for a terrible photoshoot escorts, which will derail the whole shoot wasting your time and money. Interrupting, limiting posing, directing the shoot and violence is known to happen.

Please respect the photographers decision to decline if this is the case, there are many other photographers out there that will happily allow you to bring an escort with you. Benefits of bringing escorts to a photoshoot include peace of mind if the photographer is unknown to you, but depending on your personality type, the benefits generally stop there.

It is good to be aware that even very experienced professional models have issues around posing comfortably in front of boyfriends and relatives. In my experience novice models do not tend to flourish with an audience despite how confident they may seem in normal conversation.

A happy medium would be in the case that you absolutely must bring an escort, is bring the escort with you to the start of the photoshoot. If everyone is happy and it is clear the photographer is reputable and not creepy, to then give the model space by watching from a distance or waiting outside in a car or in a nearby cafe. This to give the model some time to work in privacy without an extra set of eyes on her whilst the model gets comfortable in front of the camera.

When working with any photographer for the first time Tara would recommend working with a MUA on set during the photoshoot so there is a professional with you other than the photographer. In the case that you do not have hair and makeup to accompany you, keep your phone close to hand and plan to check in with at least one friend during your photoshoot and directly after via phone. Please share the photographers details and address with your friends so that they know where you are.

On set at a glamour or boudoir photoshoot with Tara, you will be in safe hands with an all female team where you will feel comfortable and at ease at all times.

Tara’s personal opinion is that you should not bring an escort to her photoshoots, if required you are allowed to bring a friend or relative to the start of the shoot, however they need to leave whilst we are shooting otherwise Tara can not guarantee she will be able to produce high quality images whilst you have an audience.
